Conditions felt weird here. Loud EU stations before our SS, but they were not hearing anyone I heard calling them, except maybe one of the bigger NE stations.
Signals from KH6 seem down as well. I have heard a couple JAs, but no QSO, same goes for ZL and VK. On the plus side, I did work FO8RZ. Have had noise issues that seem to come and go, much more than in the past. Down but not out... It will be interesting to see if I can even hear DX0DX when they throw the switch, tough part of the world from this QTH. I'm more hopeful about VP8ORK. 73, Julius Julius Fazekas N2WN Tennessee Contest Group http://k4tcg.org/ http://groups.google.com/group/tcg1?hl=en Tennessee QSO Party http://www.tnqp.org/ Elecraft K2 #4455 Elecraft K3/100 #366 Elecraft K3/100 #1875 --- On Thu, 1/6/11, Tree <[email protected]> wrote: From: Tree <[email protected]> Subject: Topband: Boring Report - December To: [email protected] Date: Thursday, January 6, 2011, 11:17 AM Simply put - Decemeber was not very exciting... dare I say almost boring? While I have been able to hear and work some Europeans during the month - signals have been down significantly from normal. Most nights - I either hear nothing - or perhaps only a few weak signals. Most of my contacts have been made by the "skin of my teeth" and there have not been any opportunities to run stations. While I have worked a few stations in the morning - the mornings in the past two years were much better. All of this sort of adds to me thinking conditions are significantly worse than they were the past couple or years. Likely worse than they have been since 2006. Just wondering if this matches the perception of others? Looking back in my logs - it's amazing to me that I actually went through several years of working zero Europeans - but it appears we might be on the brink of this happening again? 73 Tree N6TR _______________________________________________ UR RST IS ... ... ..9 QSB QSB - hw?
