Two important points, Don. First, noise comes and goes, it isn't present all the time. Second, a common mode choke does not in any way degrade the signal nor the performance of the antenna. Thus, it's a win-win. No, it isn't free, the cores cost money. But it never hurts, and when noise comes on when you're trying to pull a weak one out of the noise, the last thing you want to be doing is adding chokes to see if they help. 73, Jim K9YC _______________________________________________ UR RST IS ... ... ..9 QSB QSB - hw?
