Jim, When I operated with Merv K9FD at BY1QH in Jan '98 on 160, we observed the following: The west coast stations, W6 & W7s were S7 to S9. Midwest was there but very weak. East coast was nonexistent except or W4DR on the long path. I have seen the EU stations over S9 on 80 meters from my mobile in W2land and S5 from W0land. But we do work DX.
