Guys, there is alot more circuitry in that buoy than a simple dumb transmitter.
If those are claimed to be a crystal control simple dumb transmitter, they are not.
The pictures they have posted are of synthesized transmitter frequency remote programmable transmitters, just like the link I posted. They have multi-tone controlled receiver inside on the marine 2.3 MHz band.
