Hi Terry,
I've had the same problem with some PCB mount F connectors. eBay has multiple sources for soldering lug you need, this is the least expensive of them www.ebay.com/itm/Zierick-761-375-Lockwasher-Terminals-Flat-for-375-Stud-Brass-Lot-of-50-5069/262465461708?hash=item3d1c291dcc:g:VI8AAOSwepJXUFb0 73 Frank W3LPL ----- Original Message ----- From: "Terry Zivney" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, September 24, 2018 7:03:46 PM Subject: Topband: YCCC common mode feedline choke I am having trouble constructing the YCCC feedline chokes as described in their manual. In particular, I cannot seem to solder the RG-179 to the PCB mount F-connector, even after studying the photos in the manual. I had no problems soldering the BNC PCB connector in the FA-VA5 antenna analyzer kit with the same soldering equipment. The RG-179 and F-connector are in the commercial kits I purchased. The shield keeps pulling away from the connector after the solder cools. Does anyone know where to obtain the soldering lugs that fit under the nuts on chassis connectors? When I look for 3/8 inch lugs I keep finding lugs to hold 3/8 inch diameter power cables!
