These are compression connectors similar to the N type compression connector.
I use them as well as crimp type UHF connectors because I don't like the solder type PL259 connectors for RG-8. RG-58 or LMR-400 type coax. Pasternack offers a similar type connector. Their data sheet has assembly instructions.
