Hello, I'm using an RG-6 (F660BVF) gel filled cable to connect the shack and remote beverage switch. This cable can be directly buried in the ground (no need to use a pipe or slive) and remains as good as new for many years. Several times this cable was broken by metal seekers with shovels. The cable can be easily repaired with F connectors and raw rubber. Now 155 meters (520 feet) of cable underground, this line, after seven or eight years in the ground, has a loss of about 2 dB at 160 m and 3.5 dB at 80 m. This is not essential if you use an LNA amplifier beverages site. The price of this cable here in Ukraine is $76 per 1000 feet.

It has a solid copper center conductor and is swept to 3 GHz not that it matters for low band reception. I also have been using compression connectors which are far better than the crimps I used well over 40 years ago.
