can attest there were many US and VE along with several Caribbean stations
CQing between 04:17utc-05:59 Sunday morning (Saturday night local) when I was
S&Ping and CQing on 160.There were 6 VE ops on CQing another half dozen east
coast ops and several midwest ops that I could hear with my low inverted L.Also
CQing were VP5M, PJ2T, PJ4K, and 8P5A. I heard M6T and MW5B here on this end
but could not get their attention other than an occsional ??agn. Those were the
only two EU ops I heard here. 160 was not as quiet here as it can be. My noise
floor was up at S7 and normally can be as low as S1-2. Usually EU pops in
around the S5 threshold. M6T and MW5B were right at my S7 noise floor but 100%
copyable. I did work all four of the Caribbean ops, but PJ2T was the toughest.
It took many minutes trying off and on to get his attention, and he was a solid
S9 here. May have been a noisy band on his end?Dave is correct though,
conditions being better on 80 and 40 for more mults in a contest, one is going
to spendmore time where the feeding frenzy is more plentiful!I hope to work you
and Dave one of these times on 160.73!Gene N9TF > On 11/27/2024 1:35 PM CST

CQing only, except when I tried to call PJ2T.Guessing Many of the stations I
worked, would have worked M6T for their  mult, but there were quite a few M/M
un USA too. Also, if you had CQed, you would have hit RBNs, so more casual ops
would have come to you I guess, I know you get out well73 Dave, G3NKC Sent from

worked a lot more NA stations than I did . . . But I'm guessing you were mainly
calling CQ, and they called YOU?Whereas I was mainly tuning around, looking for
NA stations to call. (anddidn't hear many!)Roger
