Rob, Check out XW4ZW on QRZ.com . Ken XW4ZW and I did make a contact on 160 from Oregon but it was very difficult due to the noise in XW. 80 meters was not near as noisy there. As near as I can tell from experience putting up a receiving antenna would be very important if not mandatory in XW. I am not a member of the antenna forum and as such did not post there.. I imagine those of you who chase DX would be interested in encouraging him and giving him advice. He says he wants to put up an antenna that's good for DX. I told him to put up an inverted L. Others might have better ideas. He posted in the antenna forum on QRZ.com: https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?threads/another-plea-for-a-160-metre-band-wire-antenna-for-a-small-space.961055/ You have to log in to see it. 73 Rob K56UJ _________________ Searchable Archives: http://www.contesting.com/_topband - Topband Reflector _________________ Searchable Archives: http://www.contesting.com/_topband - Topband Reflector
