Congrats on your QSO, Ron, from a QTH with little or no noise. But you might think very differently if you were surrounded by solar systems and other electronic noise sources in the direction of three of your four full-wavelength Beverages. I've been primarily a CW op for all of my 70 years in ham radio, but I'll take those FT8 QSOs any day. The mode has the same 10 dB advantage over CW that CW has over SSB.
