Greetings Topbanders. . .years ago, Topband veteran Bill/W4ZV urged topbanders to avoid using round number frequencies at that time to avoid the ever present (and annoying) buoy markers.  That reasoning still applies today perhaps for different reasons.  I typically use a frequency ending 18xx*.5*KHz.  That avoids BC and some other interference issues. . . YMMV.
