Does anyone have insight into how to store and retrieve documents in OWL/RDF?

Specifically, can I make a PDF file, Word doc, etc.. the object of a triple? I've just run across this case when designing the mapping between a legacy system that stores documents as blobs and a future semantic version of the same system. Having the ability to access documents via TBC/TBL is going to be a large requirement as our use of semantic technology evolves.
