I have got following anser from Pellet user group: The error message was due to a bug in Pellet 1.5.x which was triggered when xsd:time values included time zones. This bug is fixed in Pellet 2. The only workaround I can think of for 1.5.x would be to remove the timezone information from the literal (e.g. normalize all the times w.r.t. a specific timezone and remove any time zone information from the value) which might not always be possible and/or desirable.
