Ah, the dangers of working with source code - particularly XML! It seems that this snippet was created using a DTD with definitions for xsd and rdf. Make the following substitutions: &xsd; --> xsd: &rdf; ==> rdf:
...and make sure the namespace abbreviations (prefix) for these are defined. That will make the snippet valid.
