Christoph;  When using 'Import... to import an XML Schemas', the name
of the file is controlled by the targetNamespace.  I.e.
   targetNamespace="http://www.ontology.com/xyz";
...will create the file xyz.owl.

simpleTypes are currently not supported in Import... XSD.  This will
be supported in the next 3.0 beta release. In the meantime, you could
use Semantic XML or the OWL 1.1 extensions.
