Christoph; When using 'Import... to import an XML Schemas', the name of the file is controlled by the targetNamespace. I.e. targetNamespace="http://www.ontology.com/xyz"; ...will create the file xyz.owl.
simpleTypes are currently not supported in Import... XSD. This will be supported in the next 3.0 beta release.
