Dear users, we are pleased to announce the release of TopBraid Composer 3.0 beta 2, Standard and Maestro Editions. It is available for download from:
http://www.topquadrant.com/topbraid/composer/tbc-3.0.0.html Our current plan is for this be the final beta before the upcoming General Availability release. The major new feature compared to beta 1 is the inclusion of a personal edition of TopBraid Ensemble (TBE) into TopBraid Composer Maestro. The TopBraid team has made significant improvements to the architecture of Ensemble, so that it is now a completely model-driven rich client application assembly framework. The look and feel of TBE's components has also been improved. TBE can be launched locally through a web browser while TBC ME is running. For more information on how to use Ensemble to create custom applications, please see the new TBE Application Development Guide incorporated into the TBC Help. The help files also provide new resources for Java developers including guidance on adding custom SPARQLMotion modules, TopBraid extension points and Java APIs. Other notable new features include the following: - TopBraid Composer now has a button that can be used to switch the whole user interface between displaying resource identifiers (qnames) and human-readable labels (rdfs:label and sub-properties thereof). - SPIN now provides a mechanism for defining new SPARQL functions using JavaScript. - Composer's Graph component can now be used to build SPARQL queries, using a visual query-by-example paradigm. - SPARQLMotion scripts can now be triggered by changes to a model, implementing event-condition-action rules.
