Jeff; This is a timely post as we have been discussing the need to update/version the tutorial. The new Web services model has impacted the BindWithParameter module. This is explained in the migration guide http://www.topquadrant.com/sparqlmotion/guide/sm2migration.html (see User-defined functions and Web Services, item 3).
So there are a couple of choices. One is to continue the tutorial with 2.6.2. The other is to follow the migration guide to continue with 3.0.
