Bernard; In general, Ensemble is oriented toward labels instead of names. You'll note that when you create a resource, the item you enter is the label, not the name. The name will be given a URI (i.e. unique name).
The design of Ensemble is purposefully different than Composer as the intended purposes of these two systems are different. Composer is designed as a fully functional ontology editor for ontology experts. Ensemble is an application interface that uses Semantic Web technologies as a data source. Although the *default* application in Ensemble has been designed to have many of Composer's features, Ensemble is not intended to be a Web mirror of Composer. That said, chronological ordering of *labels* in Ensemble is something we can look into. The behavior with spaces is consistent with Composer. If you create a new resource in composer and name it "my new resource", Composer will name it "my_new_resource". The reason for this is that a URI cannot contain spaces. -- Scott On Apr 10, 5:14 am, Bernard Chabot <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > I'm trying the instance editing functionnality with Top Braid Ensemble > > I have a Class with a QName = "MyClass" > When I create instance of this Class with Top Braid Composer, the > QName of the instance follow a naming rule (using a chrono number) : > - MyClass_1 > - MyClass_2 > - MyClass_3 > ... > > If I switch to Top Braid Ensemble and I create a new instance through > the web interface, the previously described naming rule is not used. > In this case, the QName is the almost the same than the rdfs:label > (excepted if I use a "space" in the label => I found a "_" in the > QName) > > Is it possible to have the same naming rule with Top Braid Ensemble > than the one used by Top Braid Composer ? > > Best Regard > > Bernard --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TopBraid Composer Users" group.
