I don't think so, apart from organizing queries for maintenance. For  
example, you may want to optimize performance of some rules so that  
they don't bind ?this in the beginning, but instead use some other  
property that is only found at a given class (or its subclasses). In  
those cases, it would still make sense to put a global rule into the  
class tree.
