Hi Jeff,

our SPIN implmentation has nothing to do with Pellet, so my guess is  
that your OntModel has Pellet inferencing turned on, and then Pellet  
reacts on a change (added triple) and then crashes. Please check how  
you have created the OntModel - you may need to run the SPIN  
conversions on another "view" of the underlying graph, e.g. another  
OntModel that has the same graphs but no inferencing turned on.
