Hellp Eddy; You may want to check the validity of your xml files. :AccountOpeningInstructionV02 gives a well-formed parsing error.
When you say "When I then change the "element" anotation for classes or "attribute" annotation for datatype properties..." are the changes being made (in Composer) to the imported schema file?
