Well, I'm still trying to confuse you on the URI/qname stuff. I'll post that separately.
Going back a bit, a sparqlmotion script starts with no triples. To get any data in the script you need to import a model. I typically create a separate script file to run a script and use ImportRDFFromWorkspace to import the triples. If you have your data in the same file as the script (perfectly valid thing to do), then it's important to know that the script will have no knowledge of the data (triples) unless they are imported into the script, via ImportCurrentRDF in this case. -- Scott On Jul 7, 9:13 am, Bob <[email protected]> wrote: > scott, > > that fixed the problem! i am confused about one thing, though. > preceding the performUpdate module is a sml:ImportCurrentRDF module. i > (mistakenly?) thought that this would be needed to make the current > model, i.e., the one defined in the imported owl file containing the > countries-cities-capitals model, available to the script. is this > module even needed? also, thanks for pointing out my confusion between > the qname and uri. > > regards, > bob s. > > On Jul 7, 9:56 am, Scott Henninger <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Bob, can you clarify this?
