Catrina; Ensemble perform lazy loading on all data stores, including Oracle. It works the same whether using Live or TBC-ME as your server.
However, it will need to query the back-end for data that is needed to display, for example, a tree view. So if you have a tree with 20k sub- nodes, then opening the node will cause a query for all 20k nodes. If you are using the Results Grid, you can see the effects of lazy loading most directly. In the default application if you choose a class with a few hundred instances, only a few of the instances get loaded initially. As you use the scroll bar to view the Results Grid, more data will be loaded into Ensemble. To view all data, use the Load All button (results grid). -- Scott On Aug 28, 1:17 pm, Catrina <[email protected]> wrote: > When I open an ontology stored in an Oracle RDF store through Ensemble > using our server for TopBraid Live, is there any caching?
