The supported version of Eclipse is the version bundled with Composer. Each release of Eclipse has minor and major changes that makes it difficult to retain backwards compatibility. The recommended approach is to use the version of Eclipse bundled with Composer (which is currently 3.4 for Composer 3.x) and install other apps on that Eclipse version.
