Michel,

I think in both cases, the datatype requires an rdf:type rdfs:Datatype triple. 
How did you enter these? The procedure is:

1) Make sure that rdfs:Datatype is visible in the classes tree
2) Create an instance of rdfs:Datatype
3) Make owl:equivalentClass visible
4) Enter the OWL Manchester Syntax class expression as equi class
