Bradley; The search box will perform an autocomplete across all resources with labels. If you press the down arrow all resources are displayed. This goes across the entire ontology.
The search view allows a user to type in any term and search within a property. The search boxes displayed can be customized via form layout. You can design your own search form via a SPARQLMotion script. The script would display a customized form for entering a query. For example if your user needs to search "support questions in the last x days" a script can be created that asks for terms (x=30, user name, etc.) You user won't need to know how the model is structured and you can design searches for specific tasks. Also, the components can be customized to show the information your user needs. The default application shows the ontologist's view of the model. But this is easily customized to show different views of the data. See the Ensemble Application Development Guide (http:// www.topquadrant.com/products/TB_Ensemble.html) for more. <Can a person type in anywhere a knowen term (the that customer has identified) and get a serach result of all the instances with that term in it. > Not in the default application. But a search for all instances with a term (in the label, comment, etc.) can easily be created per above. -- Scott On Dec 11, 11:08 am, bradleys <[email protected]> wrote: > I am trying to figure out if Ensemble allows you to do a general > simple one or two word boolean search on a term.
