Hi Pim, the Semantic XML instances are probably rendered with their special form, so that they show up like XML elements. The CTRL-click feature expects well-formed and parsable resource identifiers though.
Navigating Semantic XML resource trees is best done from the Association View. Right click on composite:child and select Show in Associations View.
