I am not concerned, just curious. It seems that this technology is kind of in the middle between what I would call "ontology purists" and traditional programmers. The purists may not think that it is worthwhile to focus on "implementation", but would rather argue about whether or not paint is part of a wall; the programmers will raise objections about the things that these technologies cannot do, but their favorite programming language(s) can do (I made a presentation of SPARQL to a group recently and a DB expert said, "why can't I just do this in SQL"?)
I am a huge advocate of this approach and need to be aware of the objections from both sides. BTW - I agree with everything you say.
