StageDetailed is a subclass of Stage The domain of stageAverageTreatingPressure is Stage The domain of stageAverageFracturePermeability is StageDetailed The image depicts the Domain Tab for StageDetailed class that is why the properties with Stage as domain show up grayed and those for StageDetailed are not. Note that all the properties with red icons in the Range column in this view all have domain Stage, which is inherited by StageDetailed. All of the properties that exhibit this behavior in the Domain Tab have two things in common 1) they are inherited from the superclass, and 2) they are Datatype Properties.
