Dear users,

in order to support the wider adoption of SPIN, TopQuadrant is starting an
effort to submit SPIN to a standards body. We have already assembled a group of
four other organizations that will act as co-submitters, and invite interested
parties to join this effort and give SPIN a stronger role in the Semantic Web /
Linked Data communities.

Our goal is create a submission in the next couple of months, based on the
existing documents on the SPIN web site, in particular

        http://spinrdf.org/sp.html
        http://spinrdf.org/spin.html

Feedback on those documents is more than appreciated, either here on this list
or off-list.

If you or your organization are interested in supporting SPIN, please send me
an email (off-list). The main contribution we are looking for is to collect
motivating use cases for the Overview and Motivation document that will be
published as part of the submission. Any other feedback and missing bits and
pieces (e.g. relationship with RIF) would be valuable as well.

Kind regards from TopQuadrant,
Holger
