Hi Pim,

the prefix for afn is wrong. In TBC you don't need to specify it at all, and 
from Jena use

PREFIX afn:       <http://jena.hpl.hp.com/ARQ/function#>
SELECT ?x ?now
WHERE {
  LET (?x := "test").
  LET (?now := afn:now()).
}

Note the "ARQ" in the prefix :)
