Paul, We looked into this some more and found out the following: The move to the dropins folder was done to take advantage of a new class loader method that more programs such as Jena are using... but not D2RQ, yet. So for now, mysql-connector.jar must be in the workspace folder for D2RQ access, but in dropins for SDB and direct database access.
