David,
A good model for this is the kennedys:photo property in the
Examples/kennedys.rdf model, which is an owl:ObjectProperty. If you look at
this property's value for the kennedys:JohnKennedy resource, you'll see
that
it's
<
http://www.topbraidcomposer.org/demos/kennedys/images/204px-John_F._Kennedy
,_White_House_color_photo_portrait.jpg>. When look select him in the TBE
default app, you'll see that the image itself appears and not the URL.
If you store the JPEG image files locally, they still need to be accessible
to TBE via some sort of web server, but you can use the web server built
into TBC for that by using the special tbl-www directory. For example, in a
project called sandbox, if you have a mypic.jpg file stored in the
sandbox/tbl-www directory, you can access it with a browser as
http://localhost:8083/tbl/data/sandbox/mypic.jpg, which means that a value
of <http://localhost:8083/tbl/data/sandbox/mypic.jpg> in the property that
points to the picture (i.e. in your own equivalent of the kennedys.rdf
model's kennedys:photo property) will get TBE to display that picture.
Another nice example for the use of the tbl-www directory is the TBE online
help, because it demonstrates the use of tbl-www subdirectories. The
index.html table of contents file for the help is stored in
/server.topbraidlive.org/tbl-www/docs/tbe, so you can access the help with
your browser as
http://localhost:8083/tbl/data/server.topbraidlive.org/docs/tbe/index.html
.
If you want to group your JPEGs into subdirectories, the URLs for
referencing them from within your data would follow a similar pattern.

I am attempting to try and add a jpg in an ontology so I can pop up
the image in Ensemble as well as TBC. I have the image stored locally
and am currently running the TBC ME. I'm not sure what the string or
path should be. I already created an object property
