Hello Bruce,

I am not sure I understand your question correctly, but I don't think you
would refer to yourself as
http://fwwebdev.com/foaf/BruceWhealtonJr/foaf.rdf. This is a reference to
your foaf file, not to you. Inside this file you would create an RDF
resource that is an instance of foaf:Person class to represent you. You
would use the URI of that resource to refer to you.

Subject: [topbraid-users] Working with multiple Ontologies and referring to
existing foaf files

Hello,
So, I finished the tutorial and this seems pretty straight
forward and a great tool I did have some questions, thought.
1) Suppose I have some FOAF files that I want to link to using
foaf:knows. The path to each persons foaf file is
http://fwwebdev.com/foaf/BruceWhealtonJr/foaf.rdf so to refer to me,
I'd use http://fwwebdev.com/foaf/BruceWhealtonJr/foaf.rdf
I could use a prefix defined within my RDF or OWL file I am creating
inside TBC or I could use the full path as shown above. Is there
another best practice? Maybe setup a namespace that equals
http://fwwebdev.com/foaf/ and call it fwfoaf. Does that make sense?

2) I know there is an option to set the root element of the RDF
document but instead of using something like MyPersonClass or Thing,
can I make it foaf:Person? How?
Thanks,
Bruce
