Hi Irene, Thank you for the response. Earlier in the year I did develop a SPARQLMotion script to perform a MIREOT like process and was very pleased that TBC made it fairly easy to do. Having changed employers however, I am faced with recreating the work which seems unfortunate. So I've experienced the need for the feature twice in independent organizations within a relatively short period of time (I'm not suggesting it, just supporting it).
I think its insightful that a parallel and mature ontology community found a need for treating references to external triples in this way. I understand that the linked data community is developing a best practice to avoid triple bloat stemming from imported ontologies that is similar. A couple of years ago TQ offered RDFex as a partial imports solutions to address the same need, but the server requirement lacked some convenience. I anticipate that the interest for a built-in MIREOT like feature in TBC would only grow as the semantic web gains adoption and ontologies proliferate. Please consider it for a future version of the product. thank you, -Daniel -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Group "TopBraid Suite Users", the topics of which include TopBraid Composer, TopBraid Live, TopBraid Ensemble, SPARQLMotion and SPIN.
