Jacobus; For 1, the edits we have done for D2RQ are conservative, focusing on getting D2RQ working with versions of Jena since the last release of D2RQ. Small enhancements as well for use in the TopBraid suite, but nothing like adding SPARQL 1.1 support. I have heard there is active development underway to incorporate the R2RML standard in D2RQ.
For 2, some of the enhancements are specific to TBS, so they would not be appropriate for public domain. In addition, maintaining D2RQ code for public domain use is not currently in our work scope. Depending on customer demands and internal resources that could change, but for now we will report bugs to D2RQ committers as they arise. So, if there are any questions about using D2RQ in TopBraid Suite, we'd be happy to look into them.
