Surendar; Probably the best way to convert a
spreadsheet into SKOS is to use the EVN spreadsheet import
wizard. To get to EVN (Enterprise Vocabulary Net) start TBC-ME
and go to localhost:8083/tbl/evn. There is a help page link on
the home page that has a more detailed description of spreadsheet
import. There are a couple of steps involved, but from there
conversion is very convenient. Assuming you are working with TBC-ME, the first step will be to set up you database back-end. See http://localhost:8083/tbl/lib/evndoc/adminguide.html#configurerdbms. Next, create a new vocabulary and choose the Import External Data > Import Concepts from Spreadsheet. You'll be asked to upload the csv/tsv and it will display a few rows of your data. In addition, there will be six common patterns for representing hierarchies in spreadsheets to choose from. Choose the one that is closest to your spreadsheet and the data will imported into EVN. From there you can export the SKOS data, etc. There's more information in the EVN Guide at http://localhost:8083/tbl/lib/evndoc/userguide.html#importing-spreadsheet-data. -- Scott On 1/16/2013 6:29 AM, Surendra D wrote:
