Paul, can your try the following?
SELECT *
WHERE
{ ?s ?p ?o
} ORDER BY ?s DESC(?p)
...which will get you an ascending sort of subjects with a descending sort of
predicates.
It's basically the same as the triples view, including the fact that you get
the first 1000 triples, which can be modified in the preferences.
