Morten; First, you need to be in the TopBraid perspective. Note that
you are in the Resource perspective (see second-level icon row). Then make
sure the project is created in your current workspace,
which is shown in the Navigator View (lower-left pane or
Composer). Please see the screen images in the
guide for approximately how the perspective should look.
The second image could indicate that your heap
space setting is larger than the amount of
memory you have available. If so see the FAQ at and
http://www.topquadrant.com/products/TBS_FAQ.html#TBC7
adjust the -XMX parameter down as needed.

I've downloaded the trial edition of tbc enterprise edition (via
http://www.topquadrant.com/products/TB_download.html, file name
tbcme-linux.gtk.x86_64-4.2.0.v20130322-1710B-master.zip) and I go
through the getting started guide for the composer
(http://www.topquadrant.com/docs/marcom/TBC-Getting-Started-Guide.pdf).
I do this on a mint (a linux debian derivative; Mint release 14,
"nadia" edition "MATE 64-bit") host.
After pressing "Finish" step 3 in exercise 6, chapter 3 the
application comes up with two, presumably modal, dialogue windows
and a spinning wheel cursor indicating that I have to wait. After
10 minutes I started pressing "cancel" and after a while more any
other part of the application canvas, but with no response. After
15 mins I killed the TBC and restarted it. It then came up and it
seems the person.ttl file came through unscathed. So, I guess the
bug is not a critical one.
