I have not been able to reproduce this with the latest code base, so my
belief is that this is a legacy bug from the online spinconverter. I can
only speculate that it was using an old version of Jena that had this
bug, because the code is calling Jena's default string rendering of the
query to create the sp:text.
Until we get a chance to upgrade it, is there any reason why you are
still using the online SPIN converter? With the liberal open source
license of the SPIN API, this service may have become redundant (and
inefficient).
