The main reason is that _viewClass has the advantage of uniqueness,
while viewNames can overlap. Also, many users (including myself) tend to
forget that you need to repeat pass-through variable values for
arguments of named SWP views (if you know what I mean), and viewClass
handles arguments better.
I have moved almost all of our own use cases (EVN etc) to use viewClass,
but viewName will continue to work.

_viewName should still work, although _viewClass is recommended and
preferred.
To refresh all SWP, SPIN, SM etc, use System > Refresh TopBraid system
registries...
