yes we do not officially support some of the new Eclipse versions yet.
We will hopefully look into this after 4.3 is finalized, unless some
other higher priority items pop up. For example we are also behind with
the Jena version.
The specific issue you notice is a mismatch in the Git libraries. But in
general we focus on delivering an out-of-the-box deployment that
includes the corresponding Eclipse version and do not encourage the use
of the update site with arbitrary other Eclipse versions. Maintaining
this is simply very expensive and causes all kinds of low-level
questions that we prefer to avoid.
