What exactly are you doing to export and import?

If you need to share projects with people and you don't have a shared
version control repository, the best approach is to zip a project, send it
to the other party as a zipped file. Then, the receiver unzips it and uses
Import -> Existing Project into Workspace. This process does not impact any
prefixes.

Subject: [topbraid-users] Content of Import and Export Archive

Hello. I am using TBCME 4.1 (licensed) . I am working with TBCME to create
a form to guide the creation of a lightweight repository of VoID
descriptions of vocabularies (along the lines laid down by the OpenPHACTS
programme). In doing this, I've learned how to refine a form associated
with an ontology so that only the fields needed are displayed, and learned
how to export the files of a project to support this form and the ontology
being shared with others without needing to use the TopBraid Live server
environment. That's all fine .. but what I find is that the namespace
prefixes I've assigned were not included in the export archive. For
instance, in the original file, I had a prefix 'pav' for
http://purl.org/pav/ , used for adding a subset of properties from the PAV
provenance ontology. Upon importing an exported archive into a new project,
this prefix is not included in the import, so that instead of a property
showing up as 'pav:importedOn', it appears as
'<http://purl.org/pav/importedOn>' . This is not a critical problem as the
fuctionality desired still exists, but it is a matter of convenience and
completeness of project content transport. I know that I could add this
prefix manually to the ontology file, or that the recipient could do so, but
it would be convenient for this information to be either a) written into the
ontology file as a TBCME automated task or b) included in the .tbc file
which contains the custom form information. Thanks for your comments on
this. --Courtland
