The white paper is a good summary of current capability, so when it says “No control over URI generation” for Semantic Tables it means what it says. However, TSVs has some supported mapping capabilities, but then it’s one file (i.e. sheet) at a time so there are trade-offs.
FWIW when I need specific column(s) to be made part of the URI of instances, I typically just use TBC to triplize the “dumb" data then SPIN to make semantic sense of the data based on an ontology I created that’s an improvement over the spreadsheet itself.
