Hi Dan, Since Taxonomies are optimized for the use of SKOS, there is already a pre-built form for the skos:Concept and its subclasses. This form contains several standard sections including a section called "Matching Relationships" with skos:exactMatch, skos:closeMatch, etc. fields. All non SKOS properties you create for a class go into a pre defined ³Custom Properties² section. This means that the only difference in the forms will be in the new, non SKOS properties you define for a class.
If you want the forms to look differently for different classes in terms of what sections they should have and what should be in each section, instead of defining your schema (classes and properties) directly in a taxonomy, you can define it as a separate ontology. Use the Form Builder there to define custom forms for your classes. Then, create a Taxonomy and include your ontology into it by clicking on Includes from the General tab. This will make the forms defined for your ontology available when you edit taxonomy resources that are instances of classes defined in the ontology. If you are not happy with the pre-built form for skos:Concept, this could be changed as well, but that is a different customization process. I am familiar with the Form Builder ("Edit form layout" tool) for Ontologies. I am looking for a similar capability in Taxonomies; for example, to add Class-specific or custom properties to an Edit Form. A simple example is to add the Properties skos:exactMatch or skos:closeMatch to the Instance editor for Taxonomies. What is the quickest way to add Properties to the Form?
