Hi Robin,
the reason for this is likely historical. As you state, most ARQ
features (especially our pet feature BIND) have made it into the
official SPARQL 1.1 standard anyway, so we could just as well switch to
that. I have recorded this as an area to change in a future release -
meanwhile feel free to change the source code in your own copy.
