Ok thanks for the clarification, Jack. I have recorded this as an issue to investigate.

BTW although all these progress dialogs the same, the underlying code that reacts on the cancel button requires a different implementation for each scenario. Many operations require a "clean" interrupt so that we don't end up with open query cursors etc.
