Hi Eva,

I am glad you asked and hope other EDG users reading this message also pay attention:

We have for a while been migrating from SWA form definitions into SHACL-based form definitions. 6.1 was an intermediate step in this transition, and 6.2 completes the migration. In 6.1, the new SHACL-based forms were an option that could be activated, while in 6.2 we have reversed the logic so that SHACL-based forms are the default and SWA forms can be activated by those who haven't completed the transition yet. With 6.3 we will further remove options to access the SWA forms at all, assuming that all users have migrated. The new SHACL-based forms in 6.2 are significantly faster and have new capabilities such as inferred values using property value rules and GraphQL. Note that the new forms do not work in the Ontology editor, but all other "instance" editors.

To clean up old form definitions: If you have used the graphical form editors of EDG then the SWA forms would be stored in the graph http://server.topbraidlive.org/dynamic/uiconfig (under server.topbraidlive.org\dynamic\uiconfig.ui.ttl) and unless you have other important settings in that graph you could just discard it when you upgrade to a new version or reinstall a server. If you have designed the SWA forms "by hand", e.g. using TBC then they would live in your own ui.ttlx files and you simply don't need to maintain these anymore and not copy them into the production server (via project upload).

Hello,
I used before the SWA form layout functionality and after the upgrade to version 6.1.1 I want to use SHACL, not the SWA forms anymore. I already had created these forms for some classes before (in version 5.5), and now I encountered that I cannot 'reset' them anymore so they don't interfere with SHACL Shapes. How should SWA form layouts be managed in version 6.1.1? How can I 'delete' old form layouts?
Thank you!
Eva
