If they show up on export, then they have been imported. You could also check that they are there by looking at the source code. In ontologies and taxonomies, you need to open the form full width in its own browser tab in order to get the Source Code panel.
Are you using these for properties and classes or are you using them for instances? Forms for classes and properties are still the original SWP forms.
