I think I discovered the issue. I was trying to use GRAPH statements
to specify where I wanted to INSERT and DELETE data, but the SPARQL
Query panel doesn't seem to allow that. It only seems to allow
operations on the current graph. Is that right?
Yes, you can only update the base graph of the default graph, because
only that graph is editable from that asset collection. For example
think about the change history if someone would make UPDATEs to other
graphs from here.
Can I use GRAPH statements in the WHERE clause of my query, at least?
Yes, the default graph in the WHERE clause includes the imports closure,
and you can use the GRAPH keyword there without issues, assuming the
user has read access to those graphs.

Is this really the error message and where do you see that? (It
looks rather like a part of the GraphQL request). A screenshot or
copy of the JavaScript console or TB error log would help.

Is there a way to change that setting to allow updates?
If I manage to do that, will my SPARQL updates affect only the
workflow I'm in, or will they affect master?
thanks,
